Mind & Body Balance with the 5 Koshas: A Practical Approach

To find balance within our body and mind, we must create harmony in all aspects of our being.
To understand ourselves and create this harmony we need a map explaining what we are made of: physically, mentally and spiritually.

One such map is referred to as the koshas. The kosha system comes to us from the Taittirya Upanishad, an ancient Vedic text written thousands of years ago.

Kosha can be translated as sheath, veil or layer. There are five koshas each representing a different aspect of self:
● Annamaya kosha, the physical sheath.
● Pranayama kosha, the energetic sheath.
● Manamaya kosha, the mental sheath.
● Vijnanamaya kosha, the ego/wisdom sheath.
● Anandamaya kosha, the bliss sheath.
For Laurent the koshas are an ideal and simple way to approach the practice of yoga and its accompanying philosophy. Furthermore, they are seamlessly and effortlessly integrated into our everyday lives.

It is therefore with great anticipation and pride that he presents this workshop.
During this one-day workshop, participants will slowly be invited to experience each kosha using an array of eclectic techniques and practices including asanas, breathwork and pranayama, mantras, meditation and self-inquiry.

A sense of curiosity about the nature of being will be actively encouraged and cultivated. It is also important to note that patience, dedication and self-care are required during this exploration of the self and indeed, everyday.

Going forwards from the workshop, the skills that you acquire can be harnessed to capture moments of bliss and stillness.

This workshop is open to practitioners of all levels, from beginners to those who are more advanced.

*Suitable for all levels of experience.

*This workshop can count toward CPDs for registered Yoga teachers .

Tickets £75 (early booking advised )
