Postnatal Workshop
10.30am - 12.30pm
Restore Core & Pelvic floor health

Postnatal wellbeing - Restore core & pelvic floor health
During this two hour workshop we will address aspects of the physical and emotional recovery and recuperation from childbirth.

Learning tools you can use in the early weeks and months postpartum to support your body’s healing and prevent injury.

You will learn through a gentle and safe asana (yoga postures) practice, as well as tapping into the power of deep relaxation, pranayama ( yoga breathing techniques)and meditation.

We will gather tools from Yoga and include practical exercises and age-old techniques to assist you in recovering your core strength, rehabilitating and toning those areas the most directly affected by pregnancy and childbirth: the pelvic floor and abdomen.

Discovering how to transition smoothly from your prenatal practice into the postpartum phase, and discuss ways to integrate those methods into your daily life and practice with a young baby/child (or children).

Suitable from six weeks after delivery upwards , and yes if your baby is five it’s still relevant for all women who have given birth .

•use of props available at home & in delivery suit ;we will outline a comprehensive practice (including modifications as well as auxiliary stances and squats) and provide a number of exercises and positions (standing, seated, lying, in bed, on cushions, or in water) that can be used during labor.

Overall a good session to help with preparation for labour and birth . A nice opportunity to meet other local #cheltenham mums . Plenty of time for one to one Q&As. Drinks & nibbles included

I am limiting this one to 10 spaces to give us plenty of room to make good use of all the props etc .

Prenatal Yoga class

Mama & baby
Postnatal Yoga

Tuesday 11.15am

Mama & baby is a postnatal class focusing on helping women strengthen their abdominal, back, and pelvic muscles while helping to release tension in the shoulders and neck often caused by carrying baby and hunching over while nursing and caring for your baby.
A great class for mamas to rejuvenate and restore their bodies all the while bonding with their precious young things and meeting other like minded Cheltenham mums.
The class is 60 mins with relaxation at the end. We provide all the mats etc all you need to bring is a small blanket for your baby to rest on.
Breaks for feeding ,nappy changes or snuggles to be expected. The aim of this class is to give mum a really good hour of postnatal yoga with baby on the mat ( no nursery rhymes!)

No previous yoga experience is necessary . Suitable from six weeks to crawling.

Can be booked as a single class £12 or a block of 4 £ 40 ( 4 wk expiry)
